For the last 20+ years John and Clara Taylor have been attending as well as serving at Lighthouse Assembly of God here in Sparta, Illinois. Together they have 3 wonderful children. They both have a deep love for God and each other. Sister Clara has filled positions in cleaning the church, leadership, Sunday School Teacher for the teens, worship team and so much more. Sister Clara is serving on as a Board member of Lighthouse and has done so faithfully for the past 6 years. Sister Clara has a heart and desire to bring souls out of the darkness into the light through sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ with them. She is a willing and loving servant of God, who loves her family, her friends and her church.
Sister Clara’s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13
Philippians 4:11–13 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
This is her favorite verse because she says “Where else would my strength come from. All my life He has made me stronger. He has carried me in trials. I could not get through without His strength and love.”
