My wife and I have seven wonderful children. We live our lives by a simple standard. Put God first in everything that we do! We believe that everyone deserves to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and that no one is outside of Jesus’ reach. We are a simple family that loves God and each other. We came from Indiana in September of 2020 to become the Pastor of Lighthouse Assembly of God in Sparta, Illinois. We welcome everyone to our church. No matter what your story is we want to meet you at Lighthouse Assembly and we would love to hear from you as well. God Bless you and I love you all!

John and Clara Taylor
For the last 20+ years John and Clara Taylor have been attending as well as serving at Lighthouse Assembly of God here in Sparta, Illinois. Together they have 3 wonderful children. They both have a deep love for God and each other. Sister Clara has filled positions in cleaning the church, leadership, Sunday School Teacher for the teens, worship team and so much more. Sister Clara is serving on as a Board member of Lighthouse and has done so faithfully for the past 6 years. Sister Clara has a heart and desire to bring souls out of the darkness into the light through sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ with them. She is a willing and loving servant of God, who loves her family, her friends and her church.

Janette Whitlock & Eric Whitlock
I live in Marissa with my husband, Eric. We have 4 grown children and twin grandsons. We own and operate a small lawn care business. When we have the time, we love to get away to Branson, MO or South Carolina. I’ve been part of Lighthouse most of my life and have been running sound for over 30 years. The Lord is doing great things at Lighthouse and I’m honored to be a part of it.
